Few people understand how Buffett does it. It's mostly related to using the dirt cheap, or even free leverage from his insurance businesses; BRK owns about 10 insurance firms nowadays including GEICO. That leverage advantage won't die with him.
I've followed the "Buffett Method" for the last few years with outstanding results. Of course I don't own any insurance firms so I don't have that huge advantage. However small investors can use many of his other techniques.
I do own a chunk of Travelers Insurance, but they won't let me pick their investments. LOL!
