Trump is not a conservative, he's not a Repub - he's an opportunist. Trump appealed to the lower educated he easily convinced were being treated "unfairly" - they are whiners like Trump himself. For that, Trump needed boogeymen - immigrants, the black president, and of course Hillary Clinton worked, and still do.
Trump can't unite the nation - he needs the nation to remain divided.
