We spent yesterday on the Lake, K2. The water temperature is near 80 degrees. While it is a bit on the warm side, it was nicer to be up to one's neck in the water than to swelter in the 92 degree heat in the sun.
The webworms look really cruddy, but they probably won't do any damage to your tree. We have them in abundance in the southcentral PA area. I usually don't bother with them unless they are in a tree close to the house. If you can get to the branch and cut it off, that is the best procedure. I don't know if I would spray the Raid wasp killer. It works really well on yellow jackets and other wasps, but whatever you do, don't get it on your skin or in your eyes unless you love pain.
We are leaving for the doggie walk in a few minutes. I am doing four miles with Billy and Meg every day to get in shape for the goat hunt in September. I'll check in when I get back from the walk.
