IMO Dr. M. is not playing the miracle pill card. He may in fact not even be having a scientific method...trials/prove it or die discussion. That is old school. These methods got the BP right were they are now...saying ; "let's run an even bigger AD trial just in case the last 30+ years did not prove anything".
IMO, he is saying that under certain human conditions AD cannot exist. He is saying, Let's create that condition in pts and (yes) run a set of trials but only to validate the stability of the process. The outcome is predictable and certain. A simple analogy might be; water always boils at some temp w/given conditions, similarly it always freezes, etc. He is focused on creating the conditions in any patient by understanding all critical variables using precision medicine, DNA etc.. The whole BP/FDA massive trials thing is a glorified shotgun of the past.
