Fortunately for Congressman Steve Scalise because he's 3rd in line of leadership in the House, he has a police detail who rushed him to GW Hospital in DC - Sandy Hook Elementary School children didn't have that luxury, and neither do hundreds of every-day Americans when they get shot.

I don't think Scalise is going to be "fine". He'll live, and recover. But he lost a lot of blood, and was seriously injured. He'll need rehab.

It'll be interesting to see whether he changes his views about guns and gun violence, at least to some extent.
