There are subsets of DCs called killer DCs. They can provide very important signalling to the rest of the immune response players and stay on site at the point of attack longer as their role is different than that of a DC primed more specifically to be a T-cell activator by migration to the lymph zone. Tumor necrosis factor is also an important part of where Direct is headed with DC signalling as was noted by NWBO after Phase 1 and also in the newest patent application for Direct that was talked about a while back.
