So ... legal counsel for all sides (including telecom equipment manufacturers) have to consider the risk vs reward, cost vs benefit, for allowing the Cable suit to go forward vs a pre-emptive 2-way or 3-way settlement, or who knows what kind of resolution.
They tried to get our patents invalidated and lost because they have an indirect liability in this. I believe they will have to help Cable companies pay any settlement and will have to license our technology to continue to provide them with equipment.
