I don't know if Jack W Hanks was suspended as some direct or indirect result of the fraud committed against Salt Lake City, but I do know that he was suspended after the Select Telephone Technology Inc fraud took place (as I stated).
I suppose somebody could call the Texas State Bar at the 1-800 number provided at the link and see if they can get more information about his suspension. Either way, there is no question that Select Telephone Technology Inc was a fraud and that Jack W Hanks participated in the fraud.
The STT Inc scam became a big scandal back in 1988; how a shell company was able to lie and trick Salt Lake City into sponsoring it for a $4.5 million Federal Grant misappropriating $3.2 million of those funds after they were received. The Mayor at the time, Ted Wilson, received a lot of criticism for his poor oversight that allowed the scandal to take place.
In the end the scandal was settled out of court with Select Telephone Technology Inc paying back $2.5 million to Salt Lake City.
Obviously, the 1984 Select Telephone Technology Inc fraud didn't involve MMEX, but it is interesting information about the MMEX CEO's history. It makes it a little easier to understand why Jack W Hanks would put out such an impossible story to the public to help pump the MMEX share price.
A lot of people made a lot of money trading MMEX. I know people that made money trading MMEX, but the key is that they are trading it, not marrying it. Tell you what come back in one year and tell me if you still love MMEX as much then as you do now.
