I used to do that. Also I just used the app and pressed a button to immediately transfer funds. Unfortunately, 1 time my car payment was taken out of my bank and the funds were reversed so ETrade cut me off. So now I just take a picture of a check and I'm good to go in 2-3 hours.
My post was directly off etrade website lol just saying Funds deposited to E*TRADE Securities accounts via Transfer Money from external accounts will be available for investment or withdrawal on the third business day after the day of deposit if transferred by 4pm ET. Transfer Money transactions made between existing E*TRADE accounts will be processed immediately
