Perhaps the safety and side effects profile of A2-73 is less certain than some imagine. What does the PK/PD data show? It's been over 2 years have they produced the PK/PD data yet?
Around 1500 patients have taken Bryostatin some at higher doses and some for years. For goodness sakes you must've kidding.
Unlike the 2-73 trial it was run as a valid trial and with results that allowed the FDA to quickly approve the 2b trial and we will soon get the results from. If successful as Dr Alkon expects they will soon be start phase 3 trials. Unlike Avanex which seems to be in a never ending uncontrolled "data mining" trial to justify a 2b trial.
