I honestly don't know.
Remember. We are not privvy to the "specific" charges, names. etc. in the accusations. We are only privvy to the 'Generic' headings of the categories that these charges fall under by AMEX rules.
The headings in of themselves are very serious for certain.
We have no clue if indeed the actual specific things GTE supposedly transgressed are as serious, less so, or greater than the category into which they fall.
And furthermore, will never know unless given the light of day in another forum. (An SEC investigation).
If that happens, then yes...at the SEC's beheast, they can initiate a "suspension" of trading in GTE's stock until that investigation is resolved. That could come at any time.
Or never.
