Are they buy and hold types or more like traders?

According to this company overview blurb from Bloomberg:

"It employs long/short, event-driven and credit/high yield investing strategy to make its investments."

If one makes a bet on a small biotech, which only now is embarking into P2/3 clinical trials, I imagine you would give the biotech the time to prove itself. But who knows?
