I don't know about general gambling online but I have heard that online poker tournaments exist. I haven't visited the sites but I know they exist. I know in Vegas you can bet on weird stuff like you mention. Probably a google seaarch for online gambling would get you a ton of info.

PS. The house usually takes more like one per cent in Vegas.
