They are also probably praying to the transistor gods that they can keep the market share they have right now. This up and coming price war is going to be brutal for amd with their higher costs per transitor. Also if Intel gets their 45nm process ironed out next year amd might as well call in Don Merideth to sing "Turn out the lights the party's over."
