The point in investing, is not "being right" in the long haul, but making money in the long haul. the bu$$ (RMBS) is quite a propo, since it too soared at the time to unbelievable heights (above $120) just to fall back to the $3 area. Quite a lot of people rode it up to the $120 area, but once it broke its positive technical pattern, they got out with the majority of their gains under the belt on the breach of $100. I for one let it double (from $3.5 to around $7.5) before I ventured back into it for the longer haul in January this year and will not be bashful in getting out again, with the majority of the gains under the belt, if the technical pattern no longer supports the long term bullish fundamentals.
