thanks mimurray, in retrospect we could have also taken it to the 'test' board - in fact my post with instructions included a link to that site, but in real practice 3 or 4 posters were adding suggestions, withing a few minutes the issue was resolved - just makes the next viewers that come along have to wade through the rubble.
I believe I can delete them all as "author asked to remove"
