I'm hearin' ya. I can't help but keep leaning back to when I had communicated with Will Sprowl from Cardio Logic, when we learned about the Delta Aero Science relationship / real-time orthorectification technology agreement with Delta Aero / Sanswire - before West 2006.
Back then I was more intrigued for myself since I work with geospatial imagery. I mentioned who I was, that I was an investor, but that I also worked for Harris at some point. He mentioned that Harris had contacted him several times - and that's kind of stuck with me in the back of my mind, wondering why they'd be contacting them. Not long after that, the Russian thing went down and Harris NR'd their Russia deal at the same time as Seth was hitting GTE.
I knew that Harris would be present at West 2006, and simply told Will that I'm sure they'd show an interest in the booth due to the real-time ortho. But I admit I had it in the back of my mind as to why they'd be interested.
I didn't learn about the relationship with Lockheed and SkySentry until after I saw the release about the sale to Volga/Russia and that prompted me to really start digging. Everything seemed to be piling up. I had no knowledge that Harris was even involved in the HAA, so that came as a shock to me more than anything.
After learning all that though, I really couldn't help but wonder what was really going down. Was GTE set-up in any way? Has there been anti-competitive practice involved by any of those companies? Why would Harris be so intrigued by Cardio's real-time ortho technology, because I KNOW we didn't have that capability when I was there, or whether they were even working on something like it.
I admit I can relate to Vern in some ways. We'd probably have a lot to talk about. lol.
