And you’re right, I can say hello goodbye and thank you in about 10 languages but that’s as far as it goes. His English is fine and to speak publicly as well as he does is amazing.
But even an American can become unintelligible when trying to speak through a microphone to a group. You have to really slow down and over annunciate to be understood in a large room. It also helps if you have something people want to hear and he does.
