EDITCorrection, I believe a Wells Notice is sent to a company announcing an ongoing investigation and the beginning of litigation against said company. I would not be surprised that unfortunately for hjoe shareholders there may be a Wells Notice in the hjoe office.

"Wells notices are sent when the SEC has substantially completed an investigation and intends to sue the company and/or the individuals to whom the notice is sent. The company or individual can, if it wants, submit a Wells response, or not. Some lawyers advise against that. In the end the Commission decides whether to go ahead with an enforcement action or not."
