It's sort of like Europe before Copernicus. One looks around and observes the motions of the Cosmos and the only conclusion that can be drawn is that one is at the center. But, if one can imagine oneself standing on the moon, or standing on the sun, or standing on Mars etc. and calculating how those same motions observed from the earth would appear when viewed from that imaginary observation point on the other celestial body... Suddenly the true structure of the Cosmos becomes drop dead obvious.

In other words, if one can't see the far left then that's probably where they're standing.

Senator Sanders is far left, but certainly hasn't turned the curve toward whackland. Mr. Bannon on the other hand has clearly gone around that curve to the right far enough to have reached his hero Mr. Ulyanov who came around it from the left.
