Well I've ruled out any product made by Samsung considering their exploding washing machines and burning cellphones.

Except for the side by side and water and ice option I picked out a relatively simple frig.

There are some that connect to the internet and you can look inside the frig while you're at the grocery store to see if you missed anything you need.

I'll stick with pencil and paper for that.

Oh man, the washer and dryer especially!

I pray that the old mechanical controls are still available to me when I need to replace these items.

A friend of mine bought a "digitally controlled" (forget the right terminology) washer. Just off of warranty, it fails. The repairman told him that it was the fancy control panel that failed and that he could buy a whole new washer for the price of just this one item! And there was nothing wrong with the washer itself!

He's now on the KISS bandwagon!
