Both my washer and dryer are Kenmores with mechanical controls. The new ones they have out now are for dummies who don't know how to load a washer.

They sense the load then shift things around first. Good grief.

We have digital washers in the boy's and girl's dorms at work. I get calls all the time that it takes to long and they can't advance the 'dial'.

Well, I try to explain to them that the 'dial' is not a timer any longer on new machines but it is a setting. There is no more turning the 'dial'....:-)

When I shop for home.......cheapest you got without bells and whistles.....at least I can fix it!!!
