Is this really a question ? Mean LDL levels in JELIS 2ndry were at 178 .

If you don't think LDL levels at that level matter you obviously haven't been reading Dr Chrisitie Ballantyne ( Anchor trial ) . As regards low dose Simavastatin vs low dose Atorvastatin

Had they used a strong dose of Atorvastatin in JELIS its my opinion that both inflammation ( hs CRP ) and LDL levels would have been lower .....thus lower CVD risk.
