My comment is not related to the gain issue. My point was that the open shorts have no meaning in the context on commons getting wiped out. The poster appeared to be suggesting commons would be saved forcing the shorts into covering.
The dip financiers and creditors are in control here... There is no consideration given to the commons as there's no chance they receive any residual here...
