Getting patients off fibrates is an extremely slow process. I see patients almost everyday on statins and fibrates. Last week I saw 5 or 6 such patients in a 2 day span. They all look startled when I discuss the issue (my discussion is typically brief bc it's not why the patient is in my office). I changed two patients bc they also had NASH, and just encouraged the others to talk with their PCP's or cardiologist. It will take months/years of education, especially if Reduce it is not stopped early.
