SCKT earnings were underwhelming and I'd expect the stock to be down some tomorrow. But we're in a hot market where low float momo junk is soaring. SCKT surely has better fundamentals than most of the stuff on Nasdaq. I won't be in a rush to buy tomorrow. But I won't be panic selling either. Their scanner business should keep on growing. And the right PR would send thinly traded SCKT screaming higher.

SCKT: I think they actually made .09

.07 was last year. PR headline said .07, though, which appears to be wrong.

Net income for the second quarter of 2016 was $517,000, or $0.09 per share, compared to net income of $401,000, or $0.07 per share, in the second quarter of 2015, and net income of $548,000, or $0.10 per share, in the immediately preceding quarter.

SCKT increasing diluted share count increase is partly a function of the treasury method of accounting. As the stock price rises, diluted share count increases because fewer shares can hypothetically be bought back from the fixed proceeds of the conversion proceeds. SCKT share price is up about 60% YTD.

SCKT diluted share count will drop for Q3 if the avg share price drops from Q2 to Q3, which seems likely.

Option grants are another factor behind the rising diluted share count, but less significant than the rising share price.
