Franky, who cares what Carly Fiorina says? But you know, if Comey was prepared to go as far as he did, perhaps he needs to give a little more detail. How much of this "classified" stuff was really just discussion of newspaper articles about SUBJECTS that were generally considered to be classified?
Comey pointed out that ALL of the classified information was exchanged between or among people who had security clearances that qualified them to read it.
The real issue is that Clinton used her own personal server and email account rather than whatever would have been assigned to her by the State Department. It isn't that she engaged in improper communications with people she shouldn't have been talking to, or that she betrayed any state secrets. Yes, what she did was stupid and arrogant. But it's been politicized out of all proportion to its importance.
I read something last night about the amount of government paper that ends up "classified". I find the question of retroactive classification especially troubling. And I suspect there's an office somewhere filled with anxious people willing to classify just about anything, just in case. Perhaps this needs to be looked at. I certainly remember many cases of documents that were eventually declassified, and turned out to be stuff everybody already knew.
