It will be interesting to see if he actually communicates with the court or just doesn't bother to show up.
I'll bet he leaves everyone in suspense till the last minute. After all, he may be wondering if the DOJ is following this case. But I suppose he'll have to make a decision, and very quickly. He can take his chances with an arrest--maybe he could fly to LA for a couple of days and escape without consequences--or he can stay put, and risk contempt charges.
Perhaps he'll feel his decision has been made for him, and that it's all the fault of IHub and the judge, who boxed him into a corner. He'll tell himself he WANTED to do the right thing, but others made that impossible.
He's been in Russia for awhile now, and he's been married to Valentina for longer than that. Perhaps he's already begun, or even completed, the process to become a Russian citizen. If he manages that, he'll be free to travel, as long as he stays out of the States. Maybe not the best possible solution, but a solution. And it would mean he wouldn't have to think of any of this stuff any more. I doubt the DOJ would consider him important enough to extradite.
