I agree, you can't just blame the parents. From what I'm seeing on the tube, they were in a foot or less of water, doing what countless people have done over the years when watching one of Disney's shows. The kid was just two years old, so he couldn't have been very far into the water. He was just at the wrong place, at the wrong time.

Amazing though how different a sign that says 'no swimming' and 'no swimming - alligators could be present' are.

Yeah, I've watched enough MGO wild animal programs to know that there are a lot of critters of all shapes and sizes that can kill ya. Florida has some nasties but Australia has the most.
