IJ: What you just described is normal operation on the otc. The trades at .045 were most likely a retail trader getting out selling at the bid. The mm's then threw a 100 share trade at the ask of .055 to let potential buyers know that they were willing to sell at that price. You will observe that they succeeded in selling most of those .045 shares at .051 or higher... they ignored your .046 because others were paying more. Just good old supply and demand at work.
As far as the pr goes, it's a long way from being "good" in my book. I don't care how many acres it is "near" the Barnett shale, it's not ON it. Nor do I care how good of a history the "surrounding" properties have... what does this one have? No meat at all in the pr.
