That would make some sense. But Bonespur, for example, never claimed anything of the kind. He just said he'd use his winnings to buy Uzbekistan.
A few others did discuss email exchanges with "Adam Carter" or unnamed people supposedly related to the company. But I believe the Carter emails were all posted sooner or later, and weren't of much interest. Maybe COR thinks it could get useful info from the IP addresses, but I doubt that would work out.
In the second and "final" list of 35 posters, they do distinguish between those who, they say, got divvy payments (though not all of them did) and those they feel may have given a hand with the promotion. But again, they left out some important aliases.
