Foreign aid isn't really a very big part of our budget

While true when you talk about size of the budget, this is a fallacy used in arguments to diminish the actual amount of waste here, which is still more than $35B annually. That is still a shit ton of money that should be addressed by an insolvent country.

building that idiotic embassy in Baghdad.

Well, there it is, military waste, entitlement programs, and debt servicing take the cake for sure. The corruption in the military industrial complex is great. So great we order tanks that the Joint Chiefs say they don't need or want. I do think Sanders would address this actually. Solving it may be near impossible though without some sort of political coup.

He wants to increase military spending, and, he says, decrease taxes. That is a recipe for disaster.

Sounds like Bush, so I agree actually. However, it is under Obama that $80B a month was being spewed into the "economy". He cannot strictly blame Bush for his horrendous Foreign and Monetary/Fiscal policies.

Actually, Clinton was paid $600,000 to give several speeches to Goldman Sachs, which, last I heard, isn't a non-profit.

In addition to Goldman, she also charges, and attempts to charge, non-profits hundred of thousands. (https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/a-college-balks-at-hillary-clintons-fee-so-books-chelsea-for-65000-instead/2015/06/29/b1918e42-1e78-11e5-84d5-eb37ee8eaa61_story.html)

As for Social Security… That won't be going anywhere.

It doesn't need to go away, it needs to change. I actually agree with Gore's "lockbox" proposal.
