I read something that said HoloLens wants to market to Fortune 100 companies first, before the public. I think in one of the resumes posted by a marketer.

We know they are deeply involved in HoloLens. We also know they involved in many different ways, from hardware design, calibration, to marketing. I just read an article that said that AR/VR is expected to grow 13,000% over the next few years and market penetration of 65% of homes (I don't know what area those homes are in because even I think that's a lot). These articles were just from my Yahoo feed. When HoloLens hits the market (and its starting for developers) the contracts with Microsoft are going to grow and be HUGE!!
