What specific probability factors are the basis of this statement? Since it's hard for me to imagine taking the medicine away from someone if it's helping, I think they probably are continuing with the treatment.

Would announcing continuation of the trial without the numbers lead to speculation about those numbers? Perhaps a good reason to simply not comment.

So probability is very high there is no additional extension, which would be disappointing for several important reasons. Ah well.

You make a good case Frrol. However next data release promised this quarter. Missling said "scientific meeting". He wouldn't hold trial impacting bad news for a scientific meeting as a release to his peers would he.
