Good Grief, you caused my stack to overflow :o)
Where is my frame pointer?
Did i do enough Saves?
ok,
I'am using DOS 5.0 Windows 3.1
with no updates added, and no patches applied.
Only thing added to Windows was that Win32s directory
placed inside the System direction to allow me to run
some of the 32 bit programs. Oops, but this DOS browser
is run not from Windows... ok, fall back & regroup i must :o)
ok,
Let me first test out if the DOS browser uses expanded memory,
and if so, will it use my extended via the EMM386.EXE
and i'am thinking that this browser needs a lot more memory to run
than whats available in that small conventional memory to a point
that even if it had it all it would not be enough, and i'am thinking
that this point was made years ago and somehow got lose in the
intro/doc to this browser since it was already knowned.
also,
I'am still thinking EMM386.EXE RAM NOEMS
with both the ram and noems arguments are not used together,
but it seems i'am wrong here and need to reread the manual page.
ok,
I'll try and do the expanded memory trial tonight and report back.
