That shouldn't matter. If you want to sell, you have the right to sell. How the broker gets the shares is his problem.

Are you implying that IB wouldn't let you sell your shares because they were loaned out?

Etrade will not take any OTC ever. Scottrade says they must be over $1, Trade King says not OTC ever, and TDA says maybe some day but not now.

Brokers trying to protect their customers from themselves.
