Naked Shorting is also a problem because the 'inverse' doesn't exist. So the exchange is biased. that is bad for people that invest in a pension strategy.
regulators may NOT allow the uncoupling between company performance and stock value, due to non business related means (such as naked shorting which is selling shares that do not exist).I wonder if a company could prevent shorting by adding it to its by-laws?
