Hi Linda
Welcome Back. :-)

I am fairley new to the AIM board but I am trying to make what little I have tucked away in retirement funds work for me. I have roughly 8k in IRA and 12K in 401K funds with a 51% equity and 49% cash thanks to this current rise.
I currently only have INTC in the IRA and I have 13.7% in AEPGX, 26.2% in AGTHX and 27% in AWSHX. I love the AWSHX as it pays a quarterly dividend. The other two I will have to wait for price gains and capital gains.
I still have 11 years until official retirement age via social security but that should be enough time to get it to grow. I am all ready retired from the US Navy so loosing my job was not a real big blow to the finances. It just means that I won't be able to add new money to the retirement kitty.

I hope that you can get a true mac AIM program soon as I love the aim principal. Now if I can just pick them good I will do ok.

CYA later
Pete

Since I don't know what Newport does, I can't say for sure; but you are probably right the Java replacement of MacStoXs should be what you want. It is intended to be a full fledged investing management application supporting a.o. the AIM algorithm. The current version of MacStoXs just maintains your stock accounts and can do automatic import of stock prices from the inet (example: Yahoo). It also keeps a history of transactions. Since I got sidetracked, the user interface was not completely implemented (the shortcuts are missing) so one needs to do a fair amount of "clicking" to get where you want to go. Since it does not do AIM anyway, I would suggest to "forget about it". And I must ask for your patience once more.:-(

I do get a fair number of requests for a PC port of the AIM-Calculator. So maybe I will make a new Java implementation of that one first. That should not take long as it is a very simple program anyway. In the process I would remove the rough edge that is still there, and include a "virtual shares" option. (Or in other words: add a LD-AIM possibility)

As usual I will make announcements here when something new is available.
