tc, Thanks and i have done a KEEP on your reply so that when i get a new pc that has the Windows utilities that do stuff like sound & pictures i can do the following:
I'am starting to get a better idea what wireless means, and i think the home networking ability confused me in that while its a local connection, meaning i think that all back & forth happens reads and file transfers happen inside the home versus the WWW web stuff like i'am doing now happen using that Internet Provider(IP) that carries everything from my home pc to the outside world into another's home or office. This home network stuff can be either connected using wires or wireless i think, but the wireless between my home pc and the IP is where i'am fuzzy on the physical connection. Is that satelite used in the sky also called wireless like i think those antennas placed on roof tops also the wireless, or is there other options that use the air space?
I'am guessing that a home network between a pc in the kitchen and one in the livingroom can read & write to each other even when neither is logged onto the web via an IP. Meaning that nothing goes in and out of the //www connection since it does not exist when no IP is availabe or connect to.
