By every realistic standard, this was a full-featured launch of a new server chip. Besides, I could care less if customers have to wait until July 7th or the 17th before the vendor ships systems. The point is that Intel has opened up the floodgates, and all the 'Droids can bank on now is the hope that Intel will have production problems. Because we already know that Woodcrest beats Opteron hands down in performance and performance/watt. That battle is over before it even begun.
