I am certain you are giving an accurate description of your meeting with Andy, and anybody surprised by the revelation that a reverse split will occur at some point have been fooling themselves.
The hope for investors is that the company gets the news they want from the FDA as well as increasing sales in Europe which will prevent the price from dropping immediately post-RS. That way the stock will have a chance at maintaining a PPS high enough to get listed on a major exchange which will significantly increase their access to capital.
