Good question. I think lee is saying (correct me if I am wrong) that ADD is over prescribed and over medicated and if I am correct it is now considered a US phenomenon. There seems to be a worldwide movement going on against the drug companies because they tried to force drugs into children of other countries and failed terribly. However, I am still curious how common is the prevalence of ADD and the prescription of medication (mostly Ritalin) among the children of this country (usa)? There have been some severe side effects of Ritalin. Most notably the columbine massacre where kids took the drugs and shot the children in their own high school. Nobody knows how serious or damaging are the side effects of Ritalin on the still vulnerable brains of children that are still developing and drug companies will never publish or support any negative article or research on the harmful effects of Ritalin on children.
