sorry for not being clear. The targeted company benefits by having to do less or simpler encoding so in that sense the 'product' for them is improved, but the product for the end consumer (ie the streamed info) is not affected.
As for this being anticipated, I recall-possibly incorrectly, that in the last conf call this was discussed as a near-future development.
I am a pessimist lately due to several unrelated investments that IMO are led by managements that were arrogant and less than transparent and upfront with investors, despite being legitimate companies with some (I assume) hard working employees and doing some pretty cool things. It seems to be a growing trend reflective of an overall loss of integrity in our society, or perhaps I've just been losing my touch lately.
The recent management change at DSNY without comment seems to be yet another confirmation of this growing trend, although it may well not be the case.
This is why I reached out to a friend who I thought would know more in this area than I do. His opinions were not liked here by some and I got crucified as a consequence by various members of the board here. It probably didn't help that longs here probably had been feeling much of the same kind of frustrations as I did in my other holdings. No ill will was intended on my part.
