Yeah, scumbag Richard Hollis tried the same thing with HEPH - tried to sue the Does and got anti-SLAPPED with - IIRC - not only attorney fees butt I think damages from some counterclaims as well.

Then he got kicked out of his own company for I believe embezzlement or some such crookedness that came to light - I think possibly as part of discovery in the SLAPP/anti-SLAPP suit.

These idiots are adept at shooting themselves in the feet.

Especially bad or novice lawyers - like Kenneth Eade. (golf clap for Janice on that)

Law students who graduate and get a bar number but don't get hired by a large or even medium-sized law firm make some of the most foolish mistakes trying to practice law ever.

Here's a good laffer: http://abovethelaw.com/2013/05/reema-unchained-attorney-convicted-of-prostitution-sues-a-slew-of-local-lawyers/

Law is like medicine - you don't really start learning until after you graduate school - and the first firm(s) you work at are just like a residency and fellowship - you get paid OK but not great, you work 7 days a week and 14-16 hour days, and you learn tons of real law and practice. And WHERE you do your residency and WHO you apprentice for is prolly the most important stuff. Pick mentors you like, who have interesting clients and issues, and who have the time and desire to train you. Otherwise, learn welding and move along.

Ya can't grab yer diploma, go off to teach English in a foreign country for a year, and come back and hang a shingle calling yerself a securities lawyer.

That's like a med student getting their diploma and saying "hey, I'm ready to do brain surgery - I've got my dad's garage all set up for operating".

Doesn't work that way. And if you don't go directly from 3L to a major firm - you're off the success track and won't be able to get on that conveyor belt - ever. Some (select) medium-sized boutique firms will work as well - I'm thinking of Susman here, butt it's much more of a crapshoot. Otherwise, look for a new career path.

Butt I find these solo-out-of-law school folks at least a source of humor.

And to help him find this: Hemispherx - so his alert will catch this.

Note to Jimbo: Reema suggests you start working out, get tanned, buy a Speedo and hang out on the beach to rustle up 'business' during those interminable slow periods.
