Sales of passenger cars in September were up 3.3% from a year earlier, to 1.75 million vehicles, the government-backed China Association of Automobile Manufacturers said Tuesday. Combined sales of passenger and commercial vehicles were up 2.1% to about 2 million vehicles, the industry group added.
