This is exactly how I am getting my quotes into AmiBroker from E*Trade; AmiBroker uses this API.

However, Jerry wrote that to use this API you have to use the registered version.
Though QT can be used for free, you do need to register in order to utilize the API connectivity. Registration is $7/month or $60/year.

I am using the free version of QuoteTracker and it is working fine with AmiBroker through the API. Maybe Jerry can clarify this point.

BTW, have you taken a look at my 5 min charts this morning? I got my NDX Vol Osc and the MACD breadth indicators redone and are updated in real time. Very smooth now!
