Between you and me but it is very unPC and unwelcome in most places to say what I am going to say next. What I am trying to say is that in any population, professional or otherwise, the bell curve applies.
Notwithstanding the difference between GPs and specialists and I do understand why there are GPs and why there are specialists, let me ask you a personal question :"between a doctor who graduated at the lowest quartile of his Ivy,Harvard or Stanford class, and one who graduated at the highest quartile of his class from a regular state university, which one would you prefer to go to ?"
And when you add all these doctors from the Carribean and other non European countries , it is hopeless. I keep reading the US needs more doctors,GPs in particular, I understand the issue is basic medical care. However it is competent care that I look for and the two are quite distinct issues.
