The fact that the EEGC website has remained silent is simply an indication that there is no good news in it for EEGC.

A seriously bona fide company would promptly put out a PR stating (at very least) the case has been settled since it is a market sensitive development (or it would be in the instance of a company that isn't a laughing stock from which the market doesn't expect anything of any real importance).

There is no reason why the fact of a settlement having been made shouldn't be announced even if the details are confidential.

As with the licence renewal silence will mean Mal has suffered another inglorious defeat and been trounced after years of his braggadocio. It must have been really bad for EEGC if Mal can't even imply it was a successful outcome ("we will now resume our interrupted program to develop the large oil and gas resources know to exist in Tasmania" or some such blather).
