big distributors buy 10k, or 50k, or 100k

Umm, the biggest disti (hint, hint... the initials
are IM) doesn't even order in that size lots (10k or
more per PO).

They may get preferential pricing based on all PO's per
quarter or some other such agreement. Each warehouse
issues it's own PO so they probably get a pooling
arrangement. Only OEM's order those size lots on PO's.
