Nobody is saying the injury has anything to do with the gate incident, but I suspiciusly think so. The first fracture must have been minor when he barged through the gate. Then I imagine it became worse and the 2nd fracture happened while running.
I'm sure Bill will provide some input on this later today.
My eyes welled up a bit too. Can't imagine the feelings of the owner, trainer, and everyone else with the horse.
Bill, how hard is it to breed and train a horse to get up to that level of competition?
